Why did you choose Education?  I chose education because I love helping kids and I love sports.  I enjoy teaching life lessons through sports and I love watching kids compete.

Describe your favorite Coach :  I was very fortunate to have some extremely good coaches and to get to be around a lot more as I grew up.  My father was my High School Basketball coach.  He taught me how to compete, how to win, and how to navigate losing. ( If there is such a thing).  He is still coaching to this day.

What is the best part of your job?  Without a doubt, it is our kids.  They are the reason we do what we do and we really do have the best kids here in miles.  Watching our kids learn how to compete and win is priceless.

Favorite coaching moment?

Wow so many:

1.  Beating a good Forsan team twice in 4 days (2020-21 Basketball)

2.  District championship and Our entire playoff run (2014-15 baseball)

3.  Co-District champions (2014-15 basketball)

What is unique about Miles ISD?  Our kids. And the support we get from this great community.

Advice to parents:  Support your kids.  And enjoy it while it lasts because it will fly by.

Advice to Student Athletes:  Work hard!!!  There is no substitute for hard work.  Have fun and enjoy it while it lasts.
