We hope you have a great weekend.
We want to remind you that all students attending school sporting events must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. For safety reasons, students are not allowed to play within the fenced areas of the stadium, at the ends of the field near the scoreboard, or around the restrooms and concession stand.
Please ensure that your child is supervised at all times during games and activities. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events!

We also have the Miles Cross-Country Meet here on Wednesday. Students will be allowed to go watch and support the team, but if they owe work they will be required to stay in the library. This would be a GREAT time to check the student portal.
Speaking of checking the portal, this is the last week of the Six-Weeks. Teachers will be cutting off grades very soon, which is all the more reason to check the portal.
Finally, congratulations to our Runnels County Register Academic Student of the Week: McKenzie McFarland. McKenzie was chosen by staff members because she exemplifies the character trait of Fairness.

This afternoon, the school’s panic button was accidentally activated by a substitute teacher. This triggered a false alarm. We want to assure you that there was no danger to our students or staff.
We are very sorry for any concern this may have caused. As we continue to train and refine our safety procedures, we are working through these kinds of situations so that our systems are strong and effective if they are ever truly needed.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we prioritize the safety and security of our school.

Earlier today, September 10, 2025, the school’s panic button was accidentally pressed. Please be assured there was no emergency, and all students and staff are safe. Thank you for your understanding as we work to keep our safety systems ready at all times.

Students and staff did an excellent job practicing our safety procedures. Thank you for supporting our efforts to keep our school safe.
Congratulations to Camila Verastegul. She is our Runnels Country Register Student of the Week. She was chosen based on our Character Trait for the month-Fairness. She is known for treaty classmates and others very fairly.
There is an FCA meeting on Tuesday, but students will not be allowed to participate if they have not returned the parent permission slip that was sent out last week. Please ask your student and check their backpack.
We are getting close to the end of the Six-Weeks and we have a very busy couple of weeks coming. Find time to check Parent Portal for missing assignments.
We have our first Junior High pep rally Thursday at 2:17, but there will be no High School pep rally on Friday. We will have a short send-off for the team at 11:30 Friday morning.
Classes will be getting information out about Homecoming decorating plans.
