2021 Miles Baseball Schedule and Tournament Brackets

Miles ISD has submitted a grant application for a 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC). If awarded, this would provide a Before/After-school program for PK-6 students attending Miles Elementary in school year 2021-2022. Grant Award notification will occur in Mid May.

Jr high Boys basketball games in Coleman tomorrow will begin at 5:15 and 6:00. Thanks.

1.17-23.2021 JH/HS Student Weekly Posted! Reminder: any student who has not returned a signed report card will attend lunch detention, beginning Monday, until they do. Report cards were mailed home the first week of January. This is the last week of the first three weeks for this semester and we are looking forward to a full week on campus! #BulldogPRIDE

Tickets will be sold at the door for JH girls tonight in Roscoe and Saturday for JH boys at TLCA. Go Dogs!!

The Locations for the JR High basketball games this Saturday January 16th have changed. The JR High Boys will play @TLCA at 10:00 and 11:00am and the JR High girls will play in Miles at 10:00 and 11:00am vs TLCA. Thanks.

The boys varsity and JV basketball teams will practice at 1:00pm Monday Jan. 11th. Be safe in this weather.

JH&HS will be back IN-PERSON beginning THIS Monday, January 11th! Well done JH&HS staff and students on a successful week of remote learning. We've had over a 95% completion rate. Attached is the Student Weekly for 1/9-1/16. Be sure to read the notes at the bottom, bring your water bottle/face covering, and see you soon!

Junior high basketball games on Thursday Jan 7th and girls JH on Saturday Jan 9th have been cancelled.

JH/HS remote student expectations and information has been posted under the Parent/Student section of the website or can be found here: https://5il.co/o9q8 If you have further questions/concerns, not addressed in the document, please call the school office between 7:45-4:00.

After much contemplation, the JH/HS will be remote with no extra-curriculars the first week back and Elementary will be in-person. Admin will re-evaluate at the end of week one to make a determination for week two. A few factors that contributed to this decision are our secondary COVID numbers for staff and students have spiked in the last few weeks, elementary numbers have not, and recommendations from our local health authority. As we return back to school, let’s all do our part to help stop the spread. Face coverings required at all times, please complete daily self-screenings, temperature checks at the door will continue, and frequent hand washing/sanitizing recommended. JH/HS students will follow their second-semester schedule by logging into each course on Google Classroom DAILY, beginning Tuesday January 5th by 9AM. Teachers will only be available for support during the school day, 7:45-4:00. Any work posted after midnight will be considered late and the student will be counted absent for that class on that day. Classroom codes and a link to an optional daily zoom for extra support will be posted on the app Monday, January 4th. If quarantined or positive for COVID please email your campus administrators immediately so we can support and plan accordingly.

Due to a rise in cases locally, MISD athletics has cancelled all activities through this Wednesday, 12/30. We are working on alternative practice/game plans and will notify you once finalized. Thank you for your continued understanding, flexibility, and support.

All JV Boys basketball games and practices over the Holiday break have been cancelled. Next practice will Monday January 4th at 12 noon. Be safe and stay healthy.
