Miles ISD Board Appreciation 2026

Secondary Weekly-This week will be the 3rd Week of the Fourth Six-weeks. That means that it is a great time to check the Student or Parent Portal to make sure assignments are in and that grades are where they need to be. That will be more and more important to do. The Spring Semester tends to be very busy, and assignments get over looked.

Congratulations to our Runnels County Register Academic Student of the Week: Jaymie Herring. Jaymie exemplifies our monthly character trait of Responsibility.

We also want to congratulate all our students that competed in the Runnels County Stock Show.

In addition Congratulations goes out to Isaac Hinds and Ryleigh Glass who earned spots at the All Region Band and are at All region Band Practice today.

Here is the Secondary Weekly. We are looking forward to having everyone back on campus on Tuesday, and excited to start the Second Semester. Report cards for the First Semester will be sent home on Wednesday.

I hope everyone is enjoying the start of Christmas Break and spending time with family. This upcoming week, Dec 22-26 (5 Days), all Miles ISD athletic facilities including both gyms are close, per UIL Rules. The gyms will be available starting Dec 27 for practice. We have a lot going on this week. Please read the newsletter to learn about all the events this week!

Secondary Weekly-18.

We have one more week to go, but it will be a big one. We will start exams on Tuesday. Test Tuesday, Wednesday and then Thursday morning. Thursday the students will get out at 12:33. Please encourage your students to study. The exams count 14% of the students final grade.

Semester Break is coming quick, but there is a lot of work to be done before we get there. The 3rd Six-Weeks is almost over so this would be a great weekend to check the grade portal. Next week will be exams. We will have a number of students taking the TSI this week. Please encourage your student to take it very serious.

It is official!! Both the Elementary and JH UIL Academic Teams are District Champs!! Way to go kids and coaches! It's a great day to be a Bulldog!!!!
