Tuesday the Seniors will continue working on their Apply Texas application.
All Seniors should have ordered their cap & gown by Thursday. The link is in their Class of 2027 Classroom.
Friday night the Varsity Football team is back at home. Saturday the Volleyball team is playing and the Band is performing at the Concho Classic (ASU).
Report cards were issued this week.
ACT Test date has been moved to October 15th!
Registration is due October 7th! Grades 10th-12th can sign up!
ACT Math Workshop Information
Make plans to attend the FREE Math ACT Prep session on Oct. 12th (yes it is a school holiday - but the next day is volleyball so this is the best option). in preparation for the ACT test on October 15th. Please sign up in Mrs. Ks room so she knows how much pizza to bring - you bring your own drink, pencil, and calculator.
Stay tuned for updates as the district transitions from a traditional teacher pay scale to a compensation system designed to recognize and reward educator effectiveness.
The students get Monday off, while the staff gets ready for another Six-Weeks. We will have "See You at the Pole" Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. and Fall Pictures on Thursday.
Junior High will have a Pep Rally Thursday morning. There will not be a High School Pep Rally this week due to how early the team has to leave to make it all the way to Stamford. We will have a sendoff instead at 2:00 p.m.

Secondary Weekly-Thanks to everyone for making Homecoming so much fun by decorating, dressing up or showing up to the events.
We will be hosting the Miles Cross Country Meet Wednesday. To prevent traffic issues, for the Junior High Meet in the afternoon school will be released at 3:05 P.M.
Some 9th-12th students will not be allowed to go to the event, is they have missing work or are not passing a class. This would be a great time to check grades on Student or Parent Portal. In addition, this will be the last week of the First Six-Weeks.
Miles ISD will have an early release on September 16, 2026 at 3:05 pm due to JH Cross Country starting at 4:00.

Title I Open House is Monday, September 14th from 5:30-6:30.
The Book Fair will be open Next Week, September 14th-18th.
We will have an early release on Wednesday, September 16th at 3:05 pm due to the cross-country meet.

This event is a great opportunity for students to explore their options after high school and connect directly with representatives from over 40 colleges and universities. Students can ask questions, learn about different programs and campuses, and begin making connections with institutions they may be interested in attending.
Attendees are also encouraged to stay after the event to learn more about completing the FAFSA and gain valuable tips for applying for scholarships that can help make a college education more affordable.
