Important Update Regarding Howard College Dual Credit Tuition

Tuition Costs: Academic Dual Credit classes are $165 for 1 class or $330 for 2 classes.

Maximum Charge: No student should be charged more than $330. Only Juniors and Seniors pay tuition. Technical Dual Credit classes remain 100% free.

FAST Grant Recipient Reminder: If you qualified for Free and Reduced Lunch in previous years, your tuition is covered by the FAST grant. These grants are still processing, so please hold off on paying your bill for now.

Newly Qualified Students: If you just recently qualified for Free and Reduced Lunch this school year, you may still be responsible for payment.

Payment instructions are included below.

If you have any questions or see an error on your bill, please reach out directly to Mrs. Stevens.

Everyone did a great job following our drop-off and dismissal procedures! Thank you for helping us keep our students safe and traffic moving smoothly.
Please remember:
Please drop off and pick up students from your vehicle at the curb.
If you choose to walk your child to or from school, please park in the old auditorium parking lot and walk along the construction fence and coned walkway.
Please do not walk across the parking lot in front of traffic. Student safety is our priority!

📝 ACT School Day Testing is Coming Up! 📝

Parents and students—ACT School Day testing is often the absolute best opportunity for high schoolers to take the exam! Here’s why:

Save Money: At just $40, this is significantly cheaper than taking the national Saturday ACT exam (which usually costs $68–$70+)! 💰

No Saturday Morning Alarm: Skip the early weekend wakeup after a busy Friday night of high school sports, band, or work. 😴

Comfort & Familiarity: Testing happens right here in our regular classrooms, surrounded by familiar faces and routines—reducing stress and boosting confidence. 🏫

Keep Your Weekend: Integrated right into the school day, leaving Saturdays free for rest, work, and family.

Significant Gains: We often have our most significant improvement in ACT scores during Fall Testing.

Secondary Weekly-Parents and students, thanks for a great first week. Next week, many classes will be giving Beginning of Year (BOY) Assesments. This helps us plan for the year and make sure that the kids are getting what they need. We want the kids to try, yet at the same time there will be some material that they are not going to know. It should not be a stress factor for them.

The kids did great this week with all the changes and we want you to know that we appreciate how cooperative they were.

It is going to be a GREAT year.
