The Bulldogs will be playing in the regional semi finals against Gruver on Tuesday at 6:30 in Shallowater. Miles ISD will early release at 1:00. Come support the Bulldogs on Tuesday!!
I also encourage you to have your children attend school on Wednesday at regular time!
Thank you and LETS GO BULLDOGS
Mr. Stevens

Report cards went home on Wednesday. Please make sure that those have been returned signed by Monday. Make plans to come out Monday for the OAP Community performance or the FFA Family night. Some students will be taking the ACT or TELPAS Test this week. It will be a very busy week.

Rylee Vahlenkamp earned a $10,000 scholarship for winning the San Antonio Stock Show Sheep Skillathon Contest last Monday. Way to go Rylee!!

Miles ISD has done some minor work on the track. The track has been cleared of all debris and trash accumulated over the years as well as adding a new discus slab with a proper safety net! Thank you Alan and Lane for getting this cage put up!

I hope everyone enjoys their long weekend. Students interested in trying out for Cheerleading next year should attend an informational meeting Monday at 6 p.m. Report cards will be issued next week. It is also FFA Week with some fun dress up days. Please remember that dress code still applies. It will be the first week of the Six-Weeks, so that is a great time to start strong and be ready for all the busy times to come.

Here is the Elementary Newsletter. There have been a few updates on dates and events please look at the changes carefully. We hope you have a great long weekend—no school tomorrow, February 14th, and Monday, February 17th.

It is going to be a big week! This is the last week of the Six-Weeks. The OAP Community Performance and girls Bi-district play-off game are Monday. Friday will be a student holiday, although Boys Basketball, Softball and Tennis will be in action.

Next week will be National Counselors Week. Find time to let Mrs. Stevens know how much you appreciate all she does. This will be the 5th Week of the Fourth Six-Weeks. Check student portal to make sure all of your assignments are turned in. With all the sickness making the rounds, to would be a good idea to make sure all make-up work has been turned in.

Here is the Miles Elementary Newsletter. We hope you have a great weekend and stay well. We have Mock STAAR testing next week. See the newsletter for details.

Good evening,
Miles ISD is monitoring the sickness that is going around. Currently our custodial staff has and will continue to disinfect all surfaces. I am working on a plan to have a company disinfect our campus at some point this week. Miles ISD admin will notify you on any further developments.
Ty Stevens

Numerous viruses seem to be hitting at the same time. Please help us keep everyone healthy. If your child has a fever they must stay at home. They should be 24 hours fever free without the use of fever reducing medications such as Ibuprofen before returning to school. Also encourage your children to wash their hands and use hand sanitizer. Make sure they are covering their cough. Encourage them not to share food or drinks.
Once a child returns to school they are allowed the number of days they were absent plus one to turn in make-up work. It is their responsibility to gather the work from their teachers. In certain circumstances an extension might be a possibility but you or your child should contact the teacher.

Reminder: We will dismiss at 2 p.m. today, January 24th, due to the City repairing a water main and shutting off all water at the school. Thank you

Miles ISD will release school at 2:00 on Friday, January 24, due to the City repairing a water main and all water at the school being shut off.
If you have questions please call me with your concerns.
Ty Stevens

Parents and Guardians,
Due to a significant number of staff and students out sick, we will be postponing STEM Night to March 3rd. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and support.
